of Canada awards $1.560 million to the Centre d'excellence de Montréal
en réhabilitation de sites (CEMRS)
The Honourable Jacques Saada, Minister of Canada Economic Development
and Minister responsible for the Francophonie, today announced that
the Centre d'excellence de Montréal en réhabilitation
de sites (CEMRS) will receive $1.560 million to carry out a project
aimed at finding technological solutions for the treatment of groundwater
in Montréal's Technoparc district. [Full

Workshop in Banff:
The CBN and aboutREMEDIATION hosted a brownfields workshop in Banff,
AB, on Oct. 19, prior to the Remediation Technologies (RemTech) Symposium.
Redevelopment Approaches, Tools and Best Practices was a half
day workshop that allowed participants to learn about and gain practical
insight into the challenge and the “triple bottom line”
benefits of redeveloping brownfield sites.
